Welcome to the Ravin Bosnia page

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country in southeastern Europe, on the Balkan Peninsula with an area of 19,741 square miles (51,129 square kilometres).  Bordered by Croatia to the north, west and south, Serbia to the east, and Montenegro to the south, Bosnia and Herzegovina is almost landlocked, except for 26 kilometres of Adriatic Sea coastline, centered on the town of Neum.  The interior of the country is mountainous in the center and south, hilly in the northwest, and flat in the northeast.  Bosnia is the largest geographic region of the modern state with a moderate continental climate, marked by hot summers and cold, snowy winters.  Smaller Herzegovina is at the southern tip of the country, with a Mediterranean climate and topography.

Here's a picture of us with the base commander.  Minutes after this picture was taken we were given an award for outstanding service.

This is a picture Mary Anne Hebert - one of the soldiers at Camp Eagle.  Not only is she cute as a bug, she packed one helluva weapon!  I wonder where Mary Anne is now?

This is Johnny Moncayo.  Johnny and I went to high school together, so it was pretty kewl running into him in Bosnia.  I don't know what he's doing now, but back in 2000 he was flying Apache Helicopters.  Click here to see a YouTube video of Johnny kick boxing back in 1983.  I'm going to guess that this fight was in Amsterdam.

Here's a picture of our audience!

Here I am in an Apache helicopter!

Here's a picture of Mark Del Castillo in the same helicopter.  He now performs in a group called Del Castillo with his brother, Rick.

And finally here's a picture of Captain Sherri...yum, yum!
