Congratulations on your purchase of a Palm Computing(R) connected 
organizer. This readme file contains important information about 
electronic registration of the Palm Computing organizer.

We strongly recommend you review this entire document for 
information not available in the handbook.

REGISTRATION BENEFITS
=====================

Registering your Palm Computing organizer entitles you to several 
rewards:

- Free software programs *
- Free technical support **
- Upgrade information
- Important updates

* See below for information about free software programs.
** Subject to change without notice.

After you complete your electronic registration, the free  
software programs are installed automatically on your Palm 
Computing connected organizer. These programs are our thank-you 
gift to you for registering.


INSTALLATION
============

The free software programs mentioned above are automatically 
installed to your Palm Computing organizer after you perform a 
HotSync(R) synchronization. There may be situations where you 
will need to manually install these free applications. Please 
follow the instructions below in these cases.

* To manually install the software:
 1. Start Palm(TM) Desktop software.
 2. Click Install.
 3. In the Install Tool dialog box, click Add.
 4. In the Open dialog box, select the following three files:
      MathLib.prc
      ParensLite.prc
      SolFree.prc
    (If the files are not listed, see below.)
 5. Click Open.
 6. Click Done, and then click OK.

During the next HotSync operation, the software is automatically 
transferred to your Palm Computing organizer.

KNOWN PROBLEM AREAS 
===================

Pilot 1000/5000 models do not support the Parens Lite 
application. If you run the Parens Lite application on one of 
these models and an error message appears, tap any application 
icon to remove the error message.

=============================

Documentation and technical support information for these 
applications are available in the Helpnote directory found in the 
Palm folder (typically, "c:\Palm\Helpnote").
